1.  If you are completing a permit application for a small project that exceeds the scope of a post card permit, please select the **Alteration and** **Repair** permit type.
2.  When completing Step 1 of the application, (the page that ask for a detailed description of work), select **YES** to the question that ask “Making interior or exterior renovations to a Single Family Dwelling or Two Family flat with no structural changes”. This will allow you to proceed without requiring a design professional.
3.  The Contractor information is only required prior to issuance of the permit, not during submission of the application.
4.  If you are completing work on your own, you can indicate this on Step 2 of the application.
5.  You can then proceed with answering the required questions and paying the filing fee for full submission.
